Lume [New Ambient Chill Release]

Surprisingly enough I completed this entire song in 1 day. 2 hours really, quite proud of myself for that. Though I still need to finish my extended bit of it,  and then master and finalize it. I will reupload this, along with a new blog post explaining my process of this. Why am I making a blog post about how I made this?

Well cause I did this all mostly Live, surprisingly enough. So it's more of a tutorial with some emotional fizz sprinkled in it

Updates, Updates, and Moar Updates

Been a while since I've posted anything, it's been a crazy year.

Just got back from a college prep program, by Franklin and Marshall College. Twas a highlight, and one of the most best experiences of my life so far, I will probably follow up my experiences in anther post.


As for le world of music, I have a ton of WIP's:


Levels Cover:
I played this during a live show in the spring of this year. It sounded a bit bad, so I recalled it so I could work on it furhtur. The ending is a bit bad, I scraped the old vocals my friend did for me cause it was too off beat (More than likely I will just redo the recording of le vocals). This is just a side project, so not a prioreity for me to fix.

MOIST
Alright, so there was this talent show at college prep, and I really wanted to display my music. Nobody there enjoys house music though, so I was a bit worried that my stuff would get shot down very easily. So I turned to mah friend, and his unreleased remix of one of my songs, took it, made a bunch of changes, went out and recorded vocals of le friends saying werid things, and BAM. Dis song was made. Idk if I will continue working on this or what...

Clap Beat Thing
So this was something I actually wanted to work on. Was inspired by the song "On Top of the World" By Imagine Dragons, and this came out. Going to do some major reworking of this, and maybe give it that Madeon-Feel

Synth Programming

Decided to take a break from all of the MIDI hacking and build up my library of synth presets and such things. For all newbie producers out there, czech this out:

So I'm tinkering furthur with the newest version of Mulab. DAW has some really nice instruments, just MIDI is the problem. Trying to get LMMS to output one of its instruments into Mulab, so I can use their many effects on that instrument sequence in LMMS. Nothing is working. IDK

Progress on New Live Show + some other bits

Recently discovered some well-known LMMS user's bloggers:

So after that talent-show, I decided to step back into mah workshop, and figure this live show stuff out.
LMMS will still be the "brains" of my setup. It's awesome how you can assign virtually any knob, slider, and button in LMMS to a midi controller. Only problem is, that LMMS is prone to crash (Sometimes), I'm still working this out, and trying to find the reason why.


As for controllers, I don't have the money to go out and buy them. So I thought, "You have all of this junk around the house, just use that." So thats what I did. I turned 4 mouses into slider controllers using a little program called: "MouseMod" http://www.showinsider.com/contents/download/Audio/mousemod/Freeware.htm

Currently using my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2+Touch OSC (Custom interface developed by fellow Avelocity Member, Umcaruje) for most of the controllers in LMMS, using it kinda like monome for percussion loops. There are at on of knobs and buttons I can assign effects to, etc. So its the main controller basically

I do plan to turn a old keyboard into a controller as well. Most likely using VIMDI. I plan to gut the keyboard, replace the keys with, idk arcade buttons or something, and just use that as a trigger.

As for the music I plan to format this to. Progressive house/electro house sort of thing going on right now. I have a couple of old projects I never decided to finish that can be used.

[NEW RELEASE] Adventures of Eh (Part 1)

Finally done. Mastered it myself, first song I actually did try to "properly master." Took me a while, school was in the way. Finally got around to finishing it, and decided to release it on the same day. 

Next upcoming project is with Avel again, Trap and Drumstep of sorts.

It's been a while since my last blogpost, going to keep this breif.. Been busy. Finished up a collab with Raptor980, hopefully we can that exported and rolling.

Next project, going solo again, after Moar Shiz n Things, I can see where my music is leading me, and I think it's time to reinvite my style. Next project you'll see me throwing out will be much different than what I have been doing for the past some months.
